Earlier today, Lilly was helping me like she always likes to do, and we both reached for the same thing at the same time. In the process I accidentally jabbed her finger with my finger nail. So as I always do, I grabbed it and kissed it better. But come to find out I just kissed it.
Lilly: Kissing doesn't feel better.
Me: It doesn't? Sorry, are you okay?
Lilly: Well no!
She is fine now though. I think just to be on the safe side I will keep kissing it. Maybe one of these times I will get my magic "make it all better" kisses back.

I guess it doesn't fix everything after all.

It's always sad the day they stop believing in the magical powers of kisses!
And they stop believing in them so much younger these days! Even Kaya looks at me like I'm a bit strange when I say I'm kissing her better.
I am glad that I haven't felt that sadness yet. Rebecca does not even know yet that kisses can make everything better yet!
Don't worry, you haven't lost your powers yet..kisses are powerful, wonderful things that heal so much more than hurt fingers. You're definitely doing the right thing by giving her lots of kisses - before you know it, hurt fingers and everything will be lots better! You're a great dad!!
